Students from the Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools Multimedia satellite program, located at Pickerington High School North, had a highly successful showing at the BPA Region 14 competition. Thirty-one students placed as a regional finalist, 25 advanced to the upcoming state competition, and 17 took first-place honors in their respective events.

Students and teams that finished in first or second place in their event now advance to the BPA State Leadership Conference, which will be held March 9 at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. The 25 individuals that will represent the EFCTS Pickerington North BPA chapter are the most ever in a single year, as reported by instructor Mr. Doug Rider.

The students of the Multimedia program took top honors in seven different individual or team events. Three second-place finishes were tallied, as were three fourth-place finishes and two fifth-place performances. A total of 38 students took part in the regional competition with 31 walking the stage as a finalist.

The top two finishers in each category advance to the state competition, which will be held March 9, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Columbus. The awards ceremony will take place the following day at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.
