FAIRFIELD COUNTY, OHIO: Hiring- 9-1-1 Dispatcher

Fairfield County, Ohio issued the following announcement on Oct. 14.

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s office is seeking a full time (40 hours per week) 9-1-1 Dispatcher. The primary purpose of this position is to answer calls from the public and other public safety agencies needing police, fire or EMS and dispatching the appropriate emergency agency and/or equipment.

The mission of Fairfield County is to ensure high quality services at an exceptional value to taxpayers. Successful candidates will further the mission of the Fairfield County Sheriff and Commissioners and provide exemplary service to the public. The successful candidate must follow county policies and exhibit a professional demeanor at all times.

Candidates for this position must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A background in emergency services or communications and/or knowledge of approved principles and practices of law enforcement work, including applicable laws and ordinances is preferred. Possible shifts are 3pm to 11pm and 11pm to 7am, weekends and holidays.

Starting salary for this position is $18.76 per hour with full county benefits available.
