Mosquito Spraying rescheduled for Tuesday, May 31st

5

Because of the rain yesterday, the Health Department has resceduled the planned mosquito spraying to next Tuesday, May 31st.

The Fairfield County Health Department (FCHD) announces the beginning of summer mosquito   control in Fairfield County. FCHD practices an integrated pest management approach to mosquito control which includes trapping for adults, dipping for larvae, treating standing water with larvicide, draining breeding sites when possible, and spraying to kill adult mosquitoes when needed. When needed, FCHD sprays an EPA certified substance to kill adult mosquitoes, weather permitting, during dusk hours from an FCHD marked vehicle.  In the case of rain or high winds, the spraying will be rescheduled for next week.  For upcoming weekly mosquito spraying schedules, check FCHD social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter or the Village of Baltimore website.

This week's mosquito spraying schedule includes:

Village of Sugar Grove - Thursday, May 26
