Cedarville Holds Off Dragons Second Half Surge to win 89-73

The Tiffin University men's basketball team (4-8, 2-4 GMAC) fell to Cedarville 89-73.

The Yellow Jackets jumped out to an early 13-2. Tiffin chipped away at the lead to bring it down to ten after outscoring Cedarville 8-7.

TU kept within ten points of the Yellow Jackets with 5:47 bringing the score to 30-20. Cedarville outscored the Dragons 18-13 for the rest of the first half to hold a halftime lead of 48-33.

The Yellow Jackets came out strong going on a 22-10 run to lead 70-43 at the 13:30 mark. Tiffin responded with an 18-8 run to cut the lead down to 77-59 with 8:52 left in the game.

TU went on a 17-10 run to cut the Cedarville lead down to 87-73 at the 1:18 mark. The Dragons' late surge wasn't enough as they fell to Cedarville 89-73.

Four Dragons hit double-digits in the loss to Cedarville. Morgan Taylor led the team with 16 points shooting 6-for-10 from the field, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals, and Wesley Jordan also had 16 points shooting 4-for-8 from the field, grabbed six rebounds, and one steal.

Carius Key tallied 15 points shooting 7-for-11 from the field, three rebounds, and one steal and teammate Joshua Rivers had 12 points shooting 6-for-15 from the field, had six rebounds, one block, and one steal.
