Women's Basketball Team Falls to Ursuline 77-48

The Tiffin University women's basketball team (5-10, 2-5 GMAC) was defeated by conference opponent Ursuline 77-48.

Ursuline jumped out to a 7-0 lead, but the Dragons came back with a 9-3 run to cut the lead to 10-9. The Arrows went on an 8-2 run to lead 18-11 after one quarter of play.

In the second quarter, the two teams traded buckets but Ursuline came out with a 27-19 lead midway through the quarter. Ursuline outscored Tiffin 11-7 the rest of the quarter to lead 38-26 at the break.

The Arrows' offense came out strong, going on a 10-0 run to start the third quarter. TU outscored Ursuline 13-12 the rest of the quarter but the Arrows held a 60-39 lead going into the final frame.

The Arrows sealed the 77-48 win over the Dragons with a dominant defensive fourth quarter.

Jada Tate led the Dragons with 10 points shooting 5-for-8 from the field and grabbing four rebounds, and teammate Ellie Gabel recorded eight points shooting 3-for-6 from the field and 2-for-5 from three-point territory.
