The Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools Graphic Design program proudly announces the winners of this school year’s VASCE contest, highlighting the works of local youth artists in grades 7-10.

The Visual Arts Student Contest and Exhibit (VASCE, pronounced “VAYSE”) is now in its second year at EFCTS and led by the Graphic Design program, located at Eastland Career Center. The contest is an annually judged art and design contest, which is open to any student in grades 7-10 that attends one of Eastland-Fairfield’s 16 associate school districts.

The contest is broken down into four categories: Traditional Art & Illustration, Computer Art, Graphic Design, and Photography. Each category has two age groups that have a first and second-place finish, and a best of show, which features the top submission between the two age groups.

Winners received prizes donated by business partners and sponsors of the Graphic Design program, which include Columbus College of Art & Design, The Modern College of Design, Citicom Print and Graphics, Blick Art Supplies, and alumnus Adam Gottron. Prizes included a mix of art class and supply gift certificates, swag bags, and company apparel.
