Community Development Block Grant – Critical Infrastructure
The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. to discuss the potential of applying for funding from the State of Ohio Community Development Block Grant Program – Critical Infrastructure Program. The meeting will be held in the
Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Third Floor, 210 East Main Street, Lancaster, Ohio. This is a handicapped accessible facility.
This public hearing will present information on the CDBG Critical Infrastructure Program, eligible activities, funding levels, and program requirements. This hearing will also include a presentation regarding the Fairfield County Fair Housing Program. Input from local officials and citizens will also be
solicited on community development and infrastructure needs. CDBG programs are federally funded grants which are administered by the Ohio Department of Development. All activities must be designed to primarily benefit low- and moderate-income persons.
The Critical Infrastructure Program was created to assist communities with funding for high priority, single-purpose, projects, such as roads, flood and drainage and other public facilities projects with high community-wide impact and that benefit primarily residential areas. Projects may include multiple activities that together contribute to a single failed or failing condition; otherwise, projects with multiple activities will not be considered for funding.
Local officials and citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting. Large print material and auxiliary aids will be made available if requested in advance. For additional information concerning this public- - hearing, contact the Fairfield County Regional Planning Commission at 740-652-7110.
