Congressman Troy Balderson, representing Ohio's 12th district since 2018, has recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Balderson, who succeeded Pat Tiberi in Congress and previously served in the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate, addressed topics ranging from justice and border policies to energy security and his recent election to a congressional committee.

On November 20, 2024, Congressman Balderson commented on a conviction related to Laken Riley's case. He stated: "Justice has been served. This man should have never been in our country to begin with, but I deeply hope this conviction brings peace and closure to Laken Riley's loved ones." He also criticized the current administration's border policies by saying: "The open-border policies of the Biden-Harris Administration must come to an end."

Later that day, Balderson addressed concerns regarding American energy projects under new guidance from the Biden-Harris Administration. He tweeted: "Without any intervention, new American energy projects would be put at risk under new Biden-Harris Administration guidance." He further argued against punitive measures towards industries not aligning with ESG doctrines by stating: "Punishing industries that fail to align with their ESG doctrine is not only wrong but also threatens American jobs and undermines our energy security."

On November 21, 2024, Balderson shared news about his election to serve on the Republican Policy Committee for the upcoming Congress. In his tweet he said: "It is an honor to be elected to serve on the Republican Policy Committee for the 119th Congress!" Expressing enthusiasm for collaboration with Chairman Kevin Hern, he added: "I'm looking forward to working with Chairman @repkevinhern to bring forward solutions that lift up Ohio families and strengthen our nation."
