Troy Balderson, a congressman representing Ohio’s 12th district, has shared several updates on recent events and initiatives. Balderson, who has been serving since 2018, shared these updates through his Twitter account.

On April 30, Balderson participated in and delivered the keynote address at the annual Scarlet and Gray Breakfast. He expressed his gratitude, writing, “It was an honor to deliver the keynote address at the annual Scarlet and Gray Breakfast! I love seeing so many great #Buckeyes here in DC. Thank you to @OhioStatePres Carter and @OhioStateAlumni for putting on such a great event! O-H!”.

Later the same day, Balderson highlighted his participation in a @HouseCommerce hearing focused on energy reliability, during which his legislation, the GRID Power Act, was featured. He stated, “Today’s @HouseCommerce hearing on energy reliability featured my legislation, the GRID Power Act. Restoring American #EnergyDominance means we must do everything we can to protect & expand our dispatchable baseload power.” He encouraged people to read more about the bill through a provided link.

On May 1, Balderson voiced his opposition to California’s vehicle emissions standards. He tweeted, “Allowing California to dictate national vehicle emissions standards will raise costs for Americans & devastate consumer choice. Today, I will vote to overturn Biden’s disastrous anti-consumer policies, ensuring Ohio families have access to the vehicles that best fit their needs.”

Troy Balderson, born in Zanesville, Ohio in 1962, has been involved in Ohio politics since his time in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011, followed by serving in the Ohio Senate until entering Congress.
