Troy Balderson, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 12th district since 2018, recently highlighted several initiatives and events involving his constituents and local communities through a series of posts on social media.
On April 1, 2026, Balderson shared his visit to Pataskala South Fork Elementary School to promote digital safety for students: “Great to be back at Pataskala South Fork Elementary to celebrate the continued rollout of ‘Be Internet Awesome.’ Thanks to a $5M investment from Google and a partnership with Highlights for Children, every Ohio school district is getting tools to help kids stay safe, smart, and”.
The following day, April 2, he posted about engaging with young Ohioans in Washington: “Last week, students from Maysville Middle School came to our nation’s capital to explore and learn about our federal government. It was great meeting with them and answering their questions about serving in Congress.”
On April 3, Balderson addressed environmental policy advancements in Zanesville: “Yesterday, I joined EPA Regional Administrator Anne Vogel, @OhioEPA Director John Logue, and local leaders in Zanesville to mark a major win for Ohio. The Ohio EPA has been granted primary hazardous waste permitting authority, meaning faster decisions, strong environmental”.
Balderson was born in Zanesville in 1962 and continues to reside there. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011 and the Ohio Senate from 2011 until joining Congress. He succeeded Pat Tiberi as representative for the district.
