FAIRFIELD COUNTY, OHIO: State of the County Address 2020 Presentation

Webp meeting8213

Fairfield County, Ohio issued the following announcement on Sept. 18.

The year 2020 has proved to be an unusual one. Beginning with the realization that the COVID-19 virus could be a problem, to a statewide Stay at Home Order that changed life as we knew it, many adjustments were made. That same Stay at Home Order stated parks were to remain open so people could get outside to exercise and for mental health, yet have room to follow new guidelines for social distancing, a term that had not been widely used before. This video shows a synopsis of what was happening at Fairfield County Park District during that time, from January to July 2020. It introduces you to members of Fairfield County Board of Park Commissioners and Director, Todd Younkin. It includes projects at Smeck Park that began in the summer of 2019 such as the move of Cruit House, an early 1800s log-framed house. Then, it shows the beginning of a new project, construction of Fetter-Hood Barn.
