Pickerington Schools urges all district residents to vote in the General Election on November 8, 2022. Our democracy was founded on the principle of active participation by its citizenry in the electoral process, and the district encourages each of its residents to actively engage in that process.
Did you know that voter registration is now available online at the Ohio Secretary of State’s webpage?
Each student in our district has a district issued Chromebook. Ohio law says that you must be 18 years of age or older to vote in Ohio’s elections, and each member of your household who is 18 years of age or older can register to vote online using your child’s device, or another device you have in your home (laptop, desktop, cell phone, etc.). Resources will also be available at your child’s high school.
WHAT YOU NEED
To register online you will need to provide the following:
Ohio driver’s license or Ohio identification card number
Name
Date of Birth
Address
Last four digits of your Social Security number
If you do not have any portion of the required information, you may update your voting address SOS paper form (pdf). Once you complete this form, you must sign and send it to the Fairfield County Board of Elections or the Franklin County Board of Elections (depending on the county where you reside).
Ohio also now offers multiple options for voting (in-person, early, absentee, etc.). The Ohio Secretary of State provides the following General Election timeline:
